Rohan Mate works as a Science Officer at ARPANSA, where he contributes to radiation research, focusing on non-ionising radiation and its effects. With strong skills in report writing, communication, and research, he has co-authored scientific articles and actively participated in developing radiation protection standards. Rohan is currently completing a PhD in Epidemiology at Monash University, focused on the health outcomes of occupational exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF EMR) and its potential impact on cancer incidence. His interests lie in occupational health, epidemiology, and the public perception of radiation risks. Rohan Mate was elected in the ICNIRP CG in November 2024.
