Terms and Conditions

ICNIRP is an international association of scientists researching the effects of non-ionizing radiation on human health. As known from previous years, we are pleased to organize and arrange meetings, seminars and workshops. However, it is necessary to set some basic rules. Because, wherever people meet and act together, there is a risk that something unforeseen happens. And these cases must be covered, especially when damage occurs. Of course, we will do our utmost to avoid such damage. But just in case, the following paragraphs lay down the rules according to which our events take place, i.e. our Terms and Conditions. Only the latest version is applicable, which can be found on our website.

Registration to our events

You can register to our physical and online events using the online registration form. As soon as we have received the payment of the participation fee via bank transfer or credit card, you will receive an online receipt by email, which is also the confirmation of participation.

Fees and due dates

After acceptance of your registration, you will receive an invoice. The person who makes the registration and payment also does so on behalf of all persons included in the registration, i.e. our Terms and Conditions are also binding for them.

The participation fee and terms of payment can be found on the workshop website, which we put online for each event. The fee is based on one participant.

If you have to withdraw from participation

If you have already registered for a workshop / an event and are no longer able to attend, please send an email to info@icnirp.org with the subject "NIR Workshop Cancellation".

We will communicate the cancellation policy for each event (the deadline for withdrawal from an event and the fees refundable). Instead of getting a refund, you may also transfer your ticket to someone else. Tickets can be transferred up to two weeks before the event.

If ICNIRP - we - have to cancel an event

ICNIRP reserves the right to change and cancel workshops. Every physical event may also be held instead as an online event. If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will notify you.

For each event, we will inform you about the procedure for fee reimbursement in case an event is canceled or changed by us.

ICNIRP shall not be hold responsible for event cancellations due to force majeure. Force majeure is an unusual and unpredictable situation which is beyond our control, such as war or threat of war, riot, terrorist activity, civil war, pandemic, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions.

Events may be organized by a local organizing committee, which is responsible for making local arrangements. We shall not take responsibility for the local organizing committee.

Do not forget insurance - especially travel insurance

Please bear in mind, that you have to organize and pay for the trip to the event yourself. That means, you should consider taking out an insurance in case you cannot or do not want to travel for whatever reason. The insurance should cover a cancellation, if our event does not take place or if you cannot attend the event (due to illness, accident, other unforeseeable reasons). Loss of luggage and other property should also be covered. Taking out a foreign travel health insurance should be considered as well.
