Warmest Wishes for 2026 !

Dec 2025

As we approach the end of the year, it’s the moment to share a brief reflection on what we’ve achieved together and a glimpse of what’s ahead for ICNIRP in 2026.

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the amazing collaborators within our Working Groups and the Commission. Our collaborators' tireless commitment is what makes ICNIRP’s mission possible. Thank you so much !

Looking back at 2025, we would like to highlight several key areas of activity and progress:

International Cooperation: We’ve strengthened global partnerships to enhance NIR protection for people and workers everywhere. This year, ICNIRP was honored to participate in numerous international and national seminars, collaborating with esteemed health authorities such as the World Health Organization and the Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe (RPAZ), to name just two.

Supporting Sustainable Development: ICNIRP is also proud to contribute to several of the 17 UN SDGs, focusing on those where our expertise in NIR protection can make the most meaningful impact. This is a continuous commitment to building a safer, more resilient world for all.

Advancing Knowledge: This year our publications, including the RF knowledge gaps Statement and LF Systematic Review Protocols registered in PROSPERO, mark important milestones on our ongoing journey to enhance radiation protection, and we’re excited to see their impact on the field and how this will nurture future research.

Looking to 2026

As we look to 2026, we anticipate significant advances across all areas of our Workplan, especially in the study of laser effects, UV chronic effects, EMF impacts on the environment, and low-frequency radiation. We’ll also continue to refine our conceptual frameworks for radiation protection. Keep an eye out for new reviews on low-frequency effects and for upcoming workshops. Be sure to stay updated on these developments by visiting our website, subscribing our newsletter and following us on LinkedIn.

To our colleagues, scientific and funding partners, and everyone who follows ICNIRP’s work: thank you for your support and shared commitment to better NIR radiation protection.

Wishing you a joyful and successful 2026!
