Global Cooperation

On the occasion of the GLORE (Global Coordination of Research and Policy on RF Electromagnetic Fields) meeting, held in Tokyo, Japan, on 16–17 October 2025, ICNIRP was pleased to contribute to the international discussions on electromagnetic field protection. 

Dr. Ken Karipidis, Vice Chair of ICNIRP, presented an update on the progress of the ICNIRP Low-Frequency Guidelines, noting that ICNIRP is currently conducting three systematic reviews to clarify the scientific evidence.

Dr. Ilkka Laakso, Vice Chair of the ICNIRP Project Group on Low-Frequency Dosimetry, reported on recent advances in summarizing scientific evidence from low-frequency dosimetry studies and their relevance to guideline development.
