Eugenia Cordelli

Eugenia Cordelli is a Senior Scientist at ENEA, Italy's National Agency for New Technologies, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development, specializing in environmental mutagenesis, radiation biology, and toxicology. She holds a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences (cum laude) from the University of La Sapienza, Rome, with a thesis on flow cytometric analysis of gastro-intestinal tissues. Eugenia has led numerous research projects, including WHO-funded systematic reviews on radiofrequency fields and reproductive outcomes, and has been involved in EU-funded projects on nanomaterials, reproductive toxicity, and pollutants' effects on male fertility. She also completed training in flow cytometry in 1988 and a scholarship in oncology at the University of Camerino. In addition, she served as an honorary professor at the University of Roma2 "Tor Vergata," teaching courses on environmental mutagenesis and toxicology of reproduction. Eugenia has coordinated national and international research teams, managed large-scale projects, and supervised students and collaborators. She has contributed to risk assessment groups, such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Working Group on Flavourings. Eugenia Cordelli joined the ICNIRP Collaboration Group in November 2024.
