ICNIRP AGM & PG LF Members, 21 May 2026 at Fondazione Marco Biagi, Modena

ICNIRP met from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Modena. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Project Group Meetings brought important progress in ICNIRP’s working groups, including advances in several subgroups working to develop three separate reviews to inform the guidelines. At its international session during the AGM, we were glad to welcome Emilie van Deventer from the World Health Organization (WHO) who joined online to discuss the current and future cooperation projects.  A further highlight of the events in Modena was the ICOH/ICNIRP Workshop on Occupational Protection in Medical NIR Applications on 20 May, which focused on occupational protection in healthcare settings involving MRI, cosmetic applications, optical radiation, and other medical NIR technologies.
