Call for SEG - 2023

ICNIRP is glad to open a call for nominations for scientific experts to be part of the ICNIRP Scientific Expert Group (SEG) for the term of office 2020-2024. The call is extended to IRPA and all its national Societies, to the IRPA Executive Council, to national public bodies in charge of NIR protection, and to academic institutions.

Please send your nominations to the ICNIRP Secretariat at info@icnirp.org until 21 March 2023. 
Your nomination must comprise:
- name of the institution nominating the expert, your name and affiliation within the organization,
- information on the nominees: affiliation and email, CV, publication list and DOI using the ICNIRP DOI form. 

Background information
ICNIRP is looking for expert(s) to be part of the ICNIRP Scientific Expert Group with the specialization Biology of LF in-vitro studies. Once elected, membership will last until the end of the current term of office in July 2024. Membership will be renewable upon confirmation by the Commission. SEG members are participating within ICNIRP Project Groups on a voluntary basis. 

Nominations of candidates to the election should focus on an appropriate scientific expertise related to the mission of ICNIRP in NIR protection and the above mentioned area. Additionally, attention to the independence of the nominees from vested interests and to gender balance should motivate your nomination. The DOIs of all nominees will be subject to a screening prior to be added to the pool of candidates.
