Call for nominations for the Election of the Commission 2024-2028 - Open until 25 September 2023
ICNIRP is glad to open a call for nominations to be considered in the upcoming election of its scientific experts in the ICNIRP main Commission for the term of office 2024-2028.
The call is extended to all IRPA national Societies, the IRPA Executive Council, the National Public Bodies in charge of NIR protection, the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the European Commission (EC), the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the BioEM, the International Union of Radiation Science - Commission K (URSI), the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), EuroSkin, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Please note that self-nomination will be only accepted if they are endorsed by one of the above mentioned societies.
Please send your nominations to the ICNIRP Secretariat at info@icnirp.org until 25 September 2023 (midnight CET) using the below Nomination form and Declaration of personal interests (DOI) form.
Background information
The ICNIRP main Commission is comprised of 14 members. Nominations of candidates to the election should focus on an appropriate scientific expertise related to the mission of ICNIRP in NIR protection - in particular with an expertise in biology, epidemiology or medicine. Additionally attention to the independence of the nominees from vested interests and to gender balance should motivate your nomination. All nominees' DOIs will be subject to screening prior to be added to the pool of candidates.
