ICNIRP is pleased to announce that Dan Baaken was appointed as new ICNIRP Scientific Secretary 2024-2028.
Dr Dan Baaken is a Scientific Officer at the Competence Center EMF of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection in Germany. Dan is an Epidemiologist who has a broad experience collaborating within international NIR organizations.
Dr Dan Baaken will be replacing Dr Gunde Ziegelberger at the End of this term in July 2024. After many years serving the ICNIRP Commission, Gunde is leaving the Scientific Secretariat following her professional retirement. ICNIRP is very thankful for Gunde's thoughtful management of the Secretariat and high dedication to the Commission's radiation protection mission.
